Practical English for Everyday Use
(suitable for beginner to advanced students)
Taught by Robb Ross.  Click here for Robb's profile.

Here in China's most international city, proficiency in English is a basic necessity for those who want to communicate effectively with people of all nations.  This course places a strong emphasis on active communication over conventional textbook learning, bringing both spoken and written English to life through a variety of discussions, exercises, games, and role-play activities.  Lesson plans are focused around the practical situations of everyday life, both personal and professional.  With each new lesson, you will become more accustomed to the basic structure and correct pronunciation of common phrases and expressions while building a vocabulary that is large enough to communicate effectively at home or work.  You will have ample opportunity to practice your newly acquired vocabulary and grammar structures in small, medium, and large-group activities, all of which simulate real life.  This course offers a pragmatic approach similar to the "total-immersion" experience of living in a foreign country.  During each lesson, you will be carefully guided through a variety of communication activities leading from structured practice to free expression.  Come and improve your English with other expats in a supportive and lively environment.  This course is available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced English language learners.
