Here in
China's most international city, more and more people are entering into
the fascinating study of the French language in order to converse with
friends and colleagues. This course focuses on teaching the basic
structure and correct pronunciation of practical phrases and expressions
to get you conversing as quickly as possible. We will employ the
most-current linguistic theory, emphasizing active communication over
more-conventional text-based learning, grammar drills, etc., providing
you with the skills to communicate easily and effectively in any
situation. Instruction will take place in English and of course
French, with a higher percentage of the time speaking French as the
course progresses. You will be guided through a variety of
communication activities leading from structured practice to free
expression, while gaining helpful insights into French culture and
society. There will be ample opportunity to practice your newly
acquired vocabulary and grammar structures in small and large-group
activities which simulate real-life situations and offer intensive
practice in the everyday use of the language. This course offers a
pragmatic approach similar to immersing yourself in a new culture.
Come and experience the passion of French in a fun and supportive
environment.
