David Hansen
Project Management

David Hansen holds a master's degree in organizational development from California's Chapman University and possesses more-than 30 years of business and training experience spanning a broad range of industries for clients including Boeing, the United States Navy, Nike, the L.A. Rams, Petroleum University of China, Ford Motor Company, Chevron, SeaLand, APL, Nordstrom, and many more.  As a highly sought-after project manager, corporate trainer, business consultant, and university instructor in China for the last six years, Dave has trained over 3000 students and employees in such diverse specialties as chemical engineering, marketing, graphics illustration, and quality management.  His uniquely diverse background in various industries and technologies has enabled him to assist individuals, companies, and agencies in strategizing, optimizing processes, and effectively managing complex projects.

Soon after college, Dave began his corporate work in marketing and technical field support, serving some of the world's largest companies.  He has successfully coached, trained, and taught in situations ranging from online learning to hands-on corrective demonstrations, as well as during emergency conditions in hazardous environments.  His time in China has provided him with an understanding of individual learning challenges in the context of rapid cultural, technological, economic, and political change.  Dave has personally pioneered a highly effective experiential learning system whereby students and trainees immediately apply the key principles and skills being taught.  He has successfully managed, tracked, and collaborated on hundreds of major projects with mandates such as the following:

  • Create the preventive maintenance program for 112 Municipally owned buildings, inventory through implementation.
  • Inspect, specify, contract, and complete the two-year anti-corrosive programs for hundreds of ships, water and fuel tanks, and industrial hazardous materials facilities.
  • Coordinate and manage the life-cycle design and construction of various multi-million dollar  structures and facilities -- industrial, IT, acoustical, commercial, military, and residential.
  • Complete the design and installation process and coordinate multiple contractors in extremely tight time schedules in the technology sector including both software and hardware.
  • Facilitating collaboration between engineers, professional associations, chemists, programmers, logistics and regulatory agencies on small, medium, and large projects in the manufacturing, marine, IT, and commercial sectors.
  • Monitor and train related stakeholders to collaborate on complex projects with both short-term and indeterminate completion dates.
  • Manage the design and re-fit of an advanced and experimental rubber recycling factory for the American Plastics Council.

Dave is a dedicated and passionate instructor with a genuine concern for each and every student's progress.  His unique student-focused learning system is centered upon the direct application of the principles being taught into a variety of hands-on projects conducted by the students throughout the entire learning process.
