Sales are an integral part of doing business and often mean the difference between success and failure.  It is a profession that is often misunderstood and rarely practiced at its higher levels.  Successful sales professionals in every field seek optimal solutions for their clients before, during, and after the sale.  This course will take you beyond the scientific skills and practices of the sales process into the realm of selling as a proper art form, as we combine the technical aspects of selling with the subtleties of interpersonal relations.  We will cover every aspect of not-just selling, but selling in China, from overcoming the obstacles of obtaining new customers to fulfilling your long-term responsibilities to existing and past clients.  In this course, you will learn:

- the psychology of buying and selling
- the mindset of a successful sales professional
- the interpersonal relationship and communications aspects of sales
- overcoming stress and anxiety throughout the sales process
- planning, setting goals, and carrying out optimal sales strategies and campaigns
- sales training -- educating yourself and your clients about products/services
- mailings, telemarketing, cold calls, networking, client referrals, prospecting methodology
- the skills and tools of qualifying and time management
- maneuvering through the personnel chain and getting to the decision maker
- effectively uncovering the customer's needs; a focus on customer benefits

presenting your product or service for optimal effect and maximum results
- overcoming obstacles that slow or stop the sales process
- creating/gauging customer interest and gaining commitments along the way
- creating urgency and buyer incentives
- designing  and writing proposals and managing the proposal process
- tools, techniques, and style for closing
- customer service/relations management
- why and how current existing customers are your best advertising
- the ins and outs of marketing in relation to sales

Registration Procedure:
Please register
online first to reserve your place.  You will then receive a confirmation email with further details.  Next, payment must be made on site at the ELC Learning Annex during the payment dates shown below (you can come in person or send someone).

Tuition payment for the Spring Session 2010 will take place on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, February 26th, 27th, 28th, and March 1st, 2010, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m..  Payments will be received in Ground-Floor Classroom at our ELC Learning Annex.  Click here for map.

Please note: cl
asses are kept small for the students' benefit (generally between 6 and 12 people).  Register early to reserve your place.  Payment must be received on time to complete your enrollment and maintain your reservation in the class(es) for which you have registered.  (Any course that does not meet sufficient enrollment may be cancelled and a full refund provided upon presentation of your original receipt.)
