Are you overworked, a slave to daily responsibilities and commitments?
Undergoing a major change or transition in life (such as trying to
survive in Shanghai)? In the throes of challenge or adversity? If you
would you like to help yourself and those around you, both at home and
work, to reduce stress and eliminate burn-out, then this course is for
you. Stress is a part of life, but acquiring some essential
stress-management skills can help us to deal with prolonged tension and
highly-demanding situations in a relaxed and healthy way.
Our journey will begin with debunking some common “stress myths”, as we
reveal how stress actually works, and how to identify the physical,
psychological, and emotional effects that it has upon us. Along the way,
you will acquire usable skills and practical techniques that enable you
and those around you to live fuller, happier lives. You will also
discover the connections between stress and life circumstances and how
to incorporate stress eliminators into your daily routine.
We will examine life’s many stressors, such as work and family-related
issues, transition, illness, and many others, and discover how they
relate to the human mind, our belief systems, and individual personality
and identity issues. With the ultimate goal of determining and sticking
to your authentic life’s course, we will learn how to stop “reacting” to
circumstances in our environment and start “acting” in accordance with
our principles and beliefs, regardless of the situation. This will be an
interactive course with exercises, role-play, and assignments that build
on participants’ own circumstances and experiences.
